"Taste the Flavors of Australia: 15 Traditional Recipes to Savor Down Under"

  1. Meat Pie


Ingredients:

500g beef mince

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 sheets of puff pastry


Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).

In a frying pan, cook the onion until soft. Add beef mince and cook until browned.

Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Cut puff pastry sheets into squares. Spoon beef mixture onto one half of each square. Fold pastry over and press edges to seal.

Place pies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
